Heimdall Power empowers electric utilities to transform their power grids into smarter, safer, more affordable and efficient systems.

We deliver "The Power of Knowing" by providing real-time visibility into grid conditions, enabling utilities to increase transmission capacity without building new infrastructure, while at the same time also enhancing operational safety.

At the heart of our solution is the NeuronTM sensor, a robust and lightweight IoT device that continuously collects real-time data on parameters such as conductor temperature, sag, phase angle, and environmental conditions. Digested by the Heimdall software platform, these insights allow utilities to increase the utilization of their existing networks, localize electrical faults, monitor wildfires, and enhance grid resilience.

Our Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) solution uses the data from the Neuron to unlock an average of 40 percent additional capacity in existing transmission lines, allowing for faster grid connection and easier integration of renewable energy sources. With our unique, scalable solutions, utilities can make data-driven decisions to improve operations and long-term planning across their entire grid systems.

To make sensor deployment, safe, cost-efficient and hassle-free, we have developed a patented, autonomous drone installation system that enables rapid deployment of Neurons on fully energized power lines in under 10 seconds, even in the most remote or hard-to-reach areas. Our autonomous drones can also relocate Neurons, allowing utilities to reposition sensors as grid conditions change, providing greater flexibility and ensuring real-time monitoring remains in place during infrastructure upgrades.

Combined with satellite-enabled connectivity, utilities can gather continuous insights without the need for local infrastructure at any location, ensuring full system coverage in all conditions.

Since our inception in 2016, 50 utilities worldwide have now deployed the solutions from Heimdall Power to enhance grid efficiency and reliability.  Across Europe, Asia and The Americas, we have helped companies identify and eliminate grid bottlenecks, extend asset lifespan, improve outage response times, and make better investment decisions based on real-time data. By using our solutions, utilities have been able to reduce curtailment costs, optimize energy flows, and enhance their ability to integrate renewable energy without costly new infrastructure.
